A parent’s guide to our three cereals

Our first range is three single-ingredient cereals. Each is complementary food suitable from six months of age, to be given alongside breastfeeding.

Sprouted Ragi Cereal

100% sprouted finger millet, slow-dried and stone-milled. A gentle, mild everyday porridge. Cook for about 2–3 minutes.

Sweet Potato Cereal

100% sweet potato, gently cooked and milled. Naturally sweet — no sugar needed — with a creamy texture many babies take to easily. Cook for about 2 minutes.

Raw Nendran Banana Cereal

100% raw Nendran banana, a traditional Kerala first food. Filling and energy-giving. Cook a little longer, about 5–6 minutes.

Preparing any of them

  • Whisk 2 tablespoons into about 150 ml of water until smooth.
  • Cook on a low flame, stirring, for the time above.
  • Under 1 year, use water or expressed breast milk / formula — not cow’s milk.
  • Cool to a safe temperature and serve fresh.

A note on our guidance. Breastfeeding is best for babies. WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months and continued breastfeeding, alongside safe complementary foods, up to 2 years and beyond.
