Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Sweet Potato Cereal
- 1/2 Mashed ripe banana
- 3–4 tbsp Warm water or expressed breast milk (not cow’s milk under 1 year)
- for the pan A little ghee or mild oil
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Non-stick pan
- Spatula
- Feeding plate
Method
- Make the batter Mix the Sweet Potato Cereal with mashed banana and enough warm liquid to form a thick, spoonable batter. Rest for 5 minutes.
- Cook gently Heat a little ghee in a non-stick pan on low. Spoon small rounds and cook 1–2 minutes each side until set and lightly golden.
- Cool & serve Cool to a safe temperature and cut into soft strips your baby can hold.
Serving
Serve as a soft finger food from around 9 months, cut into easy-to-hold strips.
Storage
Best served fresh; you may refrigerate for a few hours and warm gently before serving.
